Our region Straden
Straden, located in the culinary heart of the Southeast Styria region, is the cultural and geographical home of the Beerengut Cooperative.
Climatically, the region forms a transition between the dry, Pannonian climate and the warm, humid Mediterranean climate. This balanced meteorology favors the diverse cultivation possibilities for crops. Our berries benefit not only from the microclimatic conditions but also from the region's unique soil character. The vibrant sediment layers and above-average mineral content still bear witness to the original power of the volcanoes, which significantly shaped the terroir from St. Anna, through the Gleichenberg Valley, to Straden. Naturalness created by the power of millennia.

For us, it is a gift, a task, and a promise all at once – to responsibly pursue our calling. In doing so, we combine ancient knowledge with new insights, ensure high-quality care, and preserve all of this for future generations.

It is a demanding endeavor, but one to which we passionately dedicate our daily actions as the Beerengut Cooperative – with every thought, every step, and every single berry.
